A Lovely example of the highly sought after R.Sealeys Festival, made by precision rods of redditch. This is a superb example of this rod, with a few differences to other versions of this rod. The handle is slightly longer than usual at 22" and is constructed from cork shives rather than the usual lower quality composite usually found on festivals. The handle shape is also different to usual, with a flared/trumpet end.
The rod is the correct length of 11ft, the butt being whole cane, the middle split cane and the tip is split cane with a compound taper, which this rod is famous for.
This rod has been completely restored using the finest silk threads. The agate tip and butt rings are original, with new high bells intermediate rings. The ferrules are also original and fit snugly with no knocks. The transfers and inscription are both perfect.
A superb rod ready to fish or add to your collection!
